|We each receive a special promise from God and have a destiny awaiting us if we seek it. God tells us His thoughts for us are more than all the grains of sand and that He knew us before the beginning of time when He knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139).
After trying just about everything the world had to offer, Bob di Scipio finally realized in October 1995 that God’s plan for his life was much better than what the world had to offer. Accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior was the best decision he ever made. The following years were a time of amazing revelation as Jesus worked in Bob’s life to conform him in character and deed. Every area of his life was affected with the Holy Spirit filling him with love, peace and joy amidst a variety of trials.
Along with diligent study of God’s Word, ministry doors we’re opened including Bob becoming a Sunday school teacher for 2nd and 3rd grade, facilitating Divorce Care classes, single parent’s ministry and hosting couples during premarital classes.
In November 2001 Rafaela, who had been attending the same Church, met Bob at a friend’s house and with God’s blessing married in June 2002. As part of the continuous and miraculous work God had done in both their lives He blended two families into one, bringing four sons together under one roof (Juan, Robert, Derek and Rafael – pictured below, right to left with Bob and Rafaela). Bob also has an adopted daughter, Gisela who lives in Texas.
In July 2009, as we stood at the crossroad of our call to ministry, after praying for God’s will to show us whether we were to start a church, the Holy Spirit spoke late one night to Rafaela; “Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” (Acts 20:28)
Without knowing the Word Rafaela received, the next morning during Bob’s devotional time, the Holy Spirit answered him with; “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be” (1 Peter 5:2)
After continuous prayer, careful consideration, confirmation from God and other pastors, Bob and Rafaela di Scipio stepped out in September 2009 and began Hope for All Nations Christian Fellowship in their home. God opened the door for our first public service on Sunday November 29, 2009.
While Bob’s theological studies have included concentrations in Creation vs. Evolution, Biblical Counseling and the Ravi Zacharias School of Apologetics it is his passion to have others measure our Church and him by the impact we have on people’s lives and the community around us.
